The race to the bottom continues for the seven teams with three or fewer wins, and a date with the top pick in next year’s draft is on all of their Christmas wish lists.
Entering Week 16, the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants were neck-and-neck in the race to own the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Both teams held a 2-12 record prior to their 15th games, but the Giants‘ loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the early slate on Sunday was enough to give them possession of the top pick, at least temporarily.
Las Vegas can reclaim ownership of the league’s worst record (and the strength of schedule tiebreaker) with a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars later in the afternoon.
