Niners John Lynch provides update on negotiations with quarterback Brock Purdy
49ers general manager John Lynch reveals at NFL Combine that the team is in negotiations with Purdy’s folks to secure him as their quarterback for the future.
The 2025 NFL combine is here, and even with several top prospects opting not to participate, plenty of stars will take the field on Thursday in hopes to continue a climb up the NFL draft board.
Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, a presumptive top-10 pick, will not participate in drills on Thursday afternoon. Arguably the best defensive lineman in the class, Graham will have that title challenged by others, most notably Texas Tech defensive end Shemar Stewart, who could put on a show as one of the best athletes at the position this year.
The defensive line as a whole is the deepest position of the draft with players at interior defensive line, defensive end and edge rusher who will run well at the combine and hear their names called early in April’s draft.
A stronger-than-usual linebacker class will also be under the spotlight for drills on Thursday. Alabama’s Jihaad Campbell looks to cement his status as the top pure off-ball linebacker prospect entering the draft, and a strong combine could go a long way to ensuring he’s taken in the first round.
Any number of products could vault themselves up the draft boards come April with a solid performance in Indianapolis this week.
USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more from Thursday’s NFL combine workouts, which features defensive linemen and linebackers partaking in drills.
Travis Hunter, Heisman Trophy winner and one of the top NFL draft prospects this year, will pass on doing any on-field exercises as he preps for the NFL draft.
NFL Network will carry the 2025 NFL scouting combine from Thursday through Sunday.
For those who want to live stream the event, Fubo carries NFL Network. Fubo also comes with a free trial.
