Although the echoes of the 2024 draft have yet to fully dissipate, the basketball world’s attention is already shifting towards the next wave of talent. While the preceding draft may not have yielded an abundance of immediate superstars, preliminary assessments of the 2025 class suggest a more promising pool of potential impact players.

As a means of initiating an examination of this forthcoming talent pool, we shall undertake a mock draft exercise. It is imperative to acknowledge the inherent unpredictability associated with the final draft order, as the ensuing regular season will significantly influence team standings and, consequently, lottery probabilities.

To establish a provisional framework for our mock draft, we employed the current NBA Championship odds provided by DraftKings as a proxy for relative team strength. It is essential to emphasize that this methodology represents an imperfect approximation and that the NBA Draft Lottery, with its inherent element of chance, possesses the capacity to dramatically alter these projections, as even the most underperforming teams retain the possibility of securing the coveted top overall selection.
