$SP.00) is racing like he will love the rise to 1200m. He ran over 1000m down the straight here last time out when off the speed and kept finding the line. The rise in trip should be fine and despite the big weight, he rates highly.

4 Noble Go (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a son of Toronado that is on debut for John Size. This guy has had extensive trial work in readiness for start one and hasn’t been too bad. Stable can get them ready for start one so watch the market and see what it does.

$SP.00) is knocking on the door to win. He ran over this track/distance last start when pressing forward to sit near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t auute finish the job when third. Tricky gate, but if he can overcome it, he’s the one to beat.

3 Gluck Racer (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should love the rise to 1800m. He ran over 1400m here last time out where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was good in defeat. If he can use the inside gate and settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

Long Shot

11 Golden Fairy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) will land on speed and look to give his all, as seen at Happy Valley and he gave a decent kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through. If he gets front end control, he will run a bold race.

$SP.00) on top for me in what looks a pretty solid Class 4. Son of US Navy Flag that is on debut off the back of extended trial work, winning a couple of trials and seemingly going about his business nicely. Will settle handy and suspect he’ll be strong at the end.

1 The Boom Box (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has been kept on ice since Dec 1 when giving them a start and a beating to win at this track/distance, producing an electric finale. Tick over trial was good and although he’ll likely spot them a start again, he should be quite strong at the end.

9 Island Breezes (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) comes back to 1200m after racing over 1400m here on Dec 8 when a bit on the plain side, which followed quite an encouraging debut. Purton jumps on and the tick over trial was pretty good. From the gate, I say he commands respect.

$SP.00) is a track/distance specialist and despite the class/depth rise, I say he will measure up so he’s on top. He has been kept on ice since Nov 9 when a sharp all the way winner here. Good test here, but with his racing style, he’ll take beating against these.

1 Howdeepisyourlove (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is the class factor and class will carry her a long way. He comes through the Hong Kong Sprint where he ran out of his skin in defeat behind Ka Ying Rising. If coming back to 1000m is no issue, then gee he’s going to look the winner at some stage I’m sure.

4 Whizz Kid (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) loves this track/distance so don’t dismiss him. He ran over 1200m here a month ago when outclassed and struggled at 1200m. Fresh legs and back to 1000m, he’s certainly dangerous enough and a win wouldn’t shock.

$SP.00) has got a win on the board and he can certainly go on with it I say. Got a peach from Bowman at this track/distance and once he was presented clear air, away he went and he was impressive in winning. Tick over trial was good and despite the tricky gate, he’ll take beating.

5 Brilliant Express (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is racing like 1400m will suit. He resumed over 1200m here on International Day when back off the speed and chased strongly but just found one better in Happy Park in a blanket finish. Looked sharp in a trial win here and the lead is Bowman rides him and not Dragon Joy.

9 Sikander (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) can improve for Douglas Whyte. He debuted over 1200m here where he was doing work from the tricky gate and just felt the pinch late in the piece. Maps to get a much better run in transit and better for the run under the belt, he can run an improved race at odds.

5 Solid Win (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) on top. Son of Starspangledbanner that has been runner up in three of his five runs this time in, including last start when near the speed and tried hard but had no answers late for Beauty Alliance. That was at 1600m so I think back to 1400m is ideal and he strikes a winnable race.

3 Yuen Long Elite (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has a big upgrade re barriers so he is a threat. Drew wide last time where he got a fair way out of his ground and worked home well enough without threatening. If he can use the better gate and settle closer, he’s dangerous for sure.

6 I Am The Boss (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) was 1200m to 1600m when racing just over two weeks back where he was ridden with intent to land on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through when fourth. Back to 1400m and with a more patient steer, he’ll be a threat at a likely decent price.

$SP.00) is a good thing to my eye. He ran over this track/distance last time out where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, I really liked the way he closed off in defeat behind Beauty Alliance. If he is within range, he has a strong finale…I think good luck beating him.

$SP.00) has done little wrong in a three start career…except win. Runner up in all three runs, the latest coming on International Day. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front, but couldn’t quite see it through, run down late. Tricky draw, but will press forward and strikes a winnable race.

2 Volcanic Spark (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a knockout hope if he can overcome the gate. He got too far out of his ground last time out over this track/distance and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up headway and wasn’t too bad in defeat. If he can be within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

2 Beauty Joy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should be taking care of these. He hasn’t raced since the Hong Kong Mile where he ran out of his skin in defeat when third to Voyage Bubble. Just has to bring that form here and he’ll be winning.

1 California Spangle (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is getting on in years but his best is more than good enough. He has bumped into Ka Ying Rising in recent times and just hasn’t quite been able to measure up. Much better suited here, he can threaten, especially if he gets front end control.

Long Shot

5 Healthy Happy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) loves racing at 1400m so back to it from the mile is ideal. The last run was on Nov 24 and he didn’t really fire when down the track behind Patch Of Theta. He is much better suited at 1400m and the tick over trial was quite good.

$SP.00) is a model of consistency for Jamie Richards and should take beating against these. He hasn’t raced since Dec 4 at Happy Valley when racing over 1200m. He did a bit of early work from the wide gate but he stayed on and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Should land in a plum spot from the draw and gets Purton aboard.

5 Majestic Express (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a key threat. He ran over this track/distance just over two weeks ago. He wasn’t able to use the inside gate to advantage and got back but liked the way he closed off in defeat behind impressive winner Swift Ascend. Tricky draw, but he commands respect.

6 Sunnyvale (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a very interesting runner. Former Kiwi that makes his Hong Kong debut. He showed good promise when racing over there, winning a couple of races and looked pretty good there. His trial work has been encouraging…doubt he wins, but a first four threat.

$SP.00) for me in what looks an open contest. He ran on Dec 22 over this track/distance where he got into a decent spot off the speed and tried hard but couldn’t reel them in. That said, he was quite good in defeat when second to Divano. Hard to beat if he can overcome the gate.

5 Romantic Son (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) hasn’t quite lived up to the promise but he hasn’t been too bad. He comes through the Divano race mentioned above when running fourth and was close up in defeat, but seemingly had every chance. Tricky draw, but I think Purton will slide forward and from there, he’ll run a positive race.

2 King Miles (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has versatility re racing pattern so despite the wide barrier, I think Vincent Ho has options. He has run over 1400m here his past couple, two back ridden with a cold sit before riding with intent and leading last time, tiring late. I do think back to 1200m suits and his best is good enough to be a threat.

$SP.00) is a great each way gamble to close out the meeting. David Hayes trained gelding that ran over 1800m here last time out where he got too far out of his ground but liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. He maps to settle much closer in the run, stalk the speed and be strong late.

3 Mickley (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is one of several here that could put their hands up for the 4YO Series. He gave them a start and a beating to win at this track/distance, getting better as the race went on and was impressive. Can only see upside/improvement and Bowman sticks. Hard to beat.

8 Pray For Mir (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) will jump on the bunny, likely lead and take running down. He attempted to lead throughout over 1800m here on International Day and gave a strong kick from the front but couldn’t quite see it through when second to Californiatotality. Front end control, he’ll only run well.
